JOB PURPOSE
The position of Marketing Manager is to develop and implement marketing strategies that promote the yacht club including vision, missions and values, attract new members, marina users, enhance the yacht club’s brand image, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the yacht club and marina as a compelling and attractive destination.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy
• Responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing strategy for the yacht club. Analyzing the target market, understanding the club’s unique selling points, and identifying key marketing channels and tactics to reach potential members and developing and executing the marketing plan.
Brand Management
• Crucial role in managing and enhancing the yacht club’s brand image. This includes developing brand guidelines, ensuring consistency in messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials, and monitoring brand perception among members and the wider community.
Digital Marketing
• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including website optimization, content creation, social media management, email marketing, and online advertising to increase the club’s visibility and attract new members. Have a good knowledge of the new social Platforms and ensure that the Club is constantly up to date. Developing an actionable paid and organic social media strategy that focuses on direct response, loyalty, engagement, membership, and new customer acquisition.
Member Acquisition and Retention
• A main goal will be to attract new members to the yacht club. Devise strategies to reach potential members, create targeted marketing campaigns, and develop initiatives to encourage membership sign-ups. Focus on member retention by implementing programs and activities that enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
Event Promotion
• The yacht club will host various events, such as regattas, social gatherings, and training programs. The role will involve promoting these events to club members, as well as the wider sailing community. This includes creating event marketing materials, utilizing online platforms, and collaborating with other organizations to maximize event participation.
Communication
• Developing clear and compelling messaging for various marketing channels, including website content, social media posts, newsletters, and press releases. Additionally, you will also interact with club members and stakeholders to gather feedback, address inquiries, and build relationships.
Market Research and Analysis
• As a Marketing Manager, you will need to conduct market research to understand trends, competitor analysis, and member preferences. This information will help you make data-driven decisions, identify opportunities for growth, and continuously improve the club’s marketing efforts.
Budget Management
• Work closely with the Club’s management team to develop and manage the marketing budget. This involves allocating resources effectively, tracking expenses, and ensuring a positive return on investment for marketing initiatives.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
• Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
• Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualification and Experience |
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing ,Advertising, Communications or a related field. • Min 8 years of experience in membership management or a similar role within the hospitality, private members club or sport and leisure industry. |
Skills |
• Strong sales and customer service skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. • Knowledge of membership management systems and tools. • Experience in planning and organizing events and activities. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Fluency in English and Arabic is required. • Experience in a yacht club or similar luxury hospitality setting is preferred. |
